Wego.com, the leading travel search site across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, today announced the appointment of Joachim Holte as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Holte will manage all demand generation and brand marketing activities worldwide including SEO, SEM, display, affiliate and partner marketing, PR, CRM and offline advertising. Holte will report to Wego CEO and Co-Founder, Ross Veitch and has relocated to the Singapore HQ from Australia.
“We think we’ve built a better mousetrap for travel shopping and we have a very loyal base of tech savvy early adopters who seem to agree with us,” said Veitch. “There are however millions of people that don’t yet know that they could be saving time and paying less for their travel if they were using Wego and it’s Joachim’s mission to change that.”

With 13 years of specialised online experience, most recently as Executive General Manager with the Wotif Group in Australia, where Holte managed the product, marketing and online strategy. Before the Wotif Group he was part of the team that launched and grew retail site Wayfair in Australia as well as leading the online marketing team for Yahoo! in Australia and New Zealand. His career also includes heading up the marketing team of Australia’s largest finance comparison site, Ratecity, as well as a stint at one of Europe’s first product comparison sites; Kelkoo.com.
