Malaysia Airlines plane goes down

Kudat Airport in Sabah, Malaysia has seen frequent plane and helicopter crashes
 

Two people are dead and five others were seriously injured after a small passenger plane crashed into a house after attempting an emergency landing at Kudat, Malaysia.

The Twin Otter plane, operated by Malaysia Airlines subsidiary MASwings, crashed into the house near Kudat airport, while a woman and her 11 year old son inside miraculously escaped without injuries, ABC News reported.

Although this particular area has seen frequent aircraft crashes, Malaysia Airlines is currently investigating the cause of incident with the airline’s chief executive in Sabah overseeing the situation.

In related news, Malaysia Airlines has reported a record high 85 percent passenger load factor in the first month since launching daily flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kochi, India.
