TripAdvisor, the world’s most popular hotel review site, has released a ranking of its users’ highest-rated hotels as part of the 2012 Traveler’s Choice Awards. In its list of the Top 25 Hotels in China, Fairmont Beijing earned the No.1 spot among over 58,000 hotels in the country. Now in its tenth year, the annual TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards collates the reviews and rankings from millions of real travelers.
Guest reviews of the Fairmont Beijing were almost universally glowing, a rarity for TripAdvisor, a site that is often used as a platform for dissatisfied travelers to vent their frustrations about a hotel’s service or standards. One guest wrote that Fairmont Beijing embodies “True Fairmont quality”, offering “the best service ever” while another noted that the room was “everything one could wish for [and] extremely lavish.” A complete list of all the winners can be found at http://www.tripadvisor.com/TravelersChoice.
“It’s extremely gratifying to be recognized in TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards,” said Hans Hordijk, Fairmont Beijing General Manager. “This award has particular significance since it’s based on our guests’ review and level of satisfaction. This honor is a direct reflection of our exceptional service standards and the personalized attention we strive to provide each guest."
This is only the latest of the hotel’s many recent accolades, including being named to Conde Nast’s Hot List, being included on DestinAsian’s Luxe List, and being awarded the Best Executive Lounge in China by Travel & Leisure for its Fairmont Gold Lounge.
Fairmont Beijing offers 222 superbly appointed guest rooms and suites, four food and beverage outlets, Willow Stream Spa, a sanctuary on level 21 of the hotel’s skybridge, and an indoor swimming pool with a state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio.
