Movement into Changi Airport picked in February this year, with Singapore’s international airport welcoming 11.2 percent more travellers into the country compared to the same month last year.
The Airport said up to 3.77 million people passed through its gates last month with traffic from the Middle East picked up the highest with a 20 percent growth over February 2011.
Double digit increases were also experienced by passengers arriving from the Americas, Europe and South Asia.
Air landings and takeoff also escalated for the month with 13.1 percent more aircraft movements.
Earlier this month Changi released plans to close its Budget Terminal from 25 September this year.
The airport explained its demolishment would make way for the construction of a larger passenger building that will help cater to growing Changi traffic.
