Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort and The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali take great pleasure in announcing the promotion of Mr. Bipan Kapur to Managing Director. He will be overseeing the soon to be opened, Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, in addition to his existing responsibilities of General Manager Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali and Bali’s largest conference facility, the Bali International Convention Centre.

“It has been a wonderful four years since I joined The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and now I look forward to the additional responsibilities of the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort”, commented Mr Kapur.

Bipan has been with Starwood since 1992 and for the past 20 years, where he started his career at Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast in 1992, and has since embraced the challenges and enriching experiences of working in various capacities and cultures across different countries including India, Middle East, Australia, China, Malaysia and Brunei.

An Australian national, Bipan is married and has a son who studies in Australia.  He enjoys staying fit and playing golf, whenever he gets the opportunity.

Jason Leung Appointed Executive Assistant Manager

Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali takes great pleasure to announce the promotion of Mr. Jason Leung to the position of Executive Assistant Manager effective as of 1st April 2012.

A recognized name in Sales & Marketing circles, Jason has held senior roles at various prestigious hotels whilst in Australia. His Starwood journey began six years ago whilst working at Four Points by Darling Harbor. Australia’s largest Hotel. In addition to his ongoing sales and marketing role, he will assume responsibility for the daily operations of the resort and the adjacent Bali International Convention Centre.

“I am extremely proud to say after 3 years leading the Sales & Marketing Department Jason is now more than ready for a new challenge. He is young, passionate and has the energy needed to implement Westin brand initiatives that will take the resort and convention centre to the next level in today’s highly competitive marketplace. Our ultimate aim is to deliver exceptional service that leaves a lasting impression and Jason is just the right person to oversee this,” commented Mr. Bipan Kapur, General Manager of the resort.

Jason is married and apart from work enjoys spending time with his two sons and getting to know the island and culture of Bali. His passion is family and spending time playing golf and tennis in addition to following his favorite sports from around the world.
