Visit Orlando expressed their gratitude towards agents and industry professionals at a press conference with a difference at Pow Wow this week.
Characters from the movie “Despicable Me” joined a host of penguins direct from SeaWorld Orlando at the conference that highlighted the city’s exclusive new program dubbed ‘Global Hospitality Days’.
Designed to thank their domestic and international travel partners, Visit Orlando will offer the industry nearly 20 exclusive discounts from the Orlando tourism community including accommodation, attractions and dining from 15 August to 30 September 2012.
Visit Orlando president and CEO Gary Sain attributed the city’s achievement of being the first destination in the U.S. to reach 54.3 million visitors in 2011 to the dedication of travel professionals around the world.
“Hospitality industry professionals work year round and around the clock to provide the utmost in service to travellers from around the world,” Mr Sain said.
“To show our appreciation, the Orlando travel and tourism community has banded together to express our gratitude with special offers and discounts to give hardworking industry professionals their own unforgettable vacation experiences.”
Agents and industry professionals will also be entitled to participate in the seventh anniversary of Visit Orlando’s ‘Magical Dining Month’ from 1 – 30 September which entitles guests at 60 restaurants to purchase a three-course dinner for USD$30.e-Travel Blackboard flights to Pow Wow proudly sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines
