Agents want continued investment in innovative products and technological advancements, according to a new study.
Listing their top three technological demands at Amadeus’ Asia Pacific Customer ThinkTank held in Hong Kong last week, agents said a technology partner that offers outside-the-box thinking and niche content for the informed traveller of today would help them cope with an ever-changing business environment.
Amadeus Asia Pacific president David Brett said the ThinkTank event raised key industry issues and aimed to create solutions for agents.
“As the APAC region’s travel sector continues to surge, travel professionals are still recognising the importance of investing in technology to boost business performance and drive this growth forward, but they want more than just the technology alone; they want a technology partner who can offer them bespoke solutions and personalised service tailored to ensure the success of their business,” Mr Brett said.
Amadeus Australia and New Zealand managing director Sari Vahakoski supported the initiative to fulfil agents’ technological requirements, in turn helping the everyday customer.
“The transparent communication and customer feedback will enable us to deliver the latest and most suitable technology, knowledge and support for our clients in the region.”
Mr Brett was also adamant regarding the benefits of such an event.“By taking on feedback directly from our customers, we support our ongoing investment in research and development to ensure that our solutions are being designed with our customer’s future needs in mind.”
