The good news was that the pilot made up time and the arrival into Auckland was 4:35pm.

Seat/Cabin experience:
The high overhead baggage compartments help make the cabins feel spacious. The black seats create a clean, sleek look while the added silver bag racks and entertainment remote and screen showcase a new fresh look. This is not often seen on a trip that is less than 3 hours.

Safety Video:
A special mention had to be made here regarding Air New Zealand’s cartoon safety video. The use of the actor Ed, who play’s Al Bundy in Married with Children and now stars in Modern Family, tells passengers what to do, really makes the video entertaining. Snoop Dog makes an appearance also in cartoon form. Looking around the cabin, everyone was glued to their screens and finally paying attention.
Smart thinking here Air New Zealand.

Absolutely brilliant. Touch screen, simple to use, suitable for all ages, Air New Zealand’s entertainment system is impressive.
They even have a tab where you can click on “EAT & DRINK” and order snacks, hot and cold drinks, review your order, swipe your credit card and the food is delivered right to your seat. You are unable to use EFTPOS however with the strong Aussie dollar, the transaction is in NZD which is a savings in itself.

There are many more options to choose from to keep everyone entertained. There are games for the kids, destination videos, and music choices including Radio, audio books and music player not to mention the many movies to choose from.

Parents, there is also a kids safe option to ensure only G or PG rated movies are selected.
